Hi all!
I'm Roberto, known on the Net as RobyF.
I studied Telecommunication Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, and I'm a software architect.
I'm working (since December 1st, 2006) for Paf and I'm also lead developer at Huitale Oy.
Before that, I worked at Kedrios, an Italian software provider for banks. Before Kedrios I worked for 3,5 years in e.Dexter, with multiple roles.
For e.Dexter I worked at the following e-commerce sites: MediaWorld, Unora.it, e.Mik, Badabum.
For e.Dexter I also wrote WSH (also known as e.BPM, but I don't like this name), a java-based tool for handling web portals/applications. With this technology we made Saturn, Cosmit, N&W Global Vending and Alessandro Del Piero official site. None of those site are, nowadays, using anymore that technology, but it is still alive and kicking, carried on by another company after e.Dexter's bad end.
I worked for Epsilan s.r.l, an IBM business partner.
For Epsilan I've wrote the e-commerce function of the Alcon s.r.l. web site. I've also work (at IBM Italia) at the realization of the Zivago web site (an Italian clone of amazon.com not more online) and the MediaWorld e-commerce web site.
I worked also for Metropolis Telematica s.r.l., an Italian company that handled (at that time) the Italian biggest chat.
For Metropolis I wrote programs that handle the internal mail service, the internal magazine, some games and a quiz service.
Beside that, I also worked as freelance software developer and freelance network tecnician.
I can write software in C, C++, Java, Perl, Python and many other languages.
I also frequented at Algol the following courses: Introduction to Cisco router configuration, Advanced Cisco router configuration and Cisco Internetwork Design.
I've got the following IBM Professional Certifications: Net.Commerce Version 3 Solution Expert and DB2 UDB V6.1 Database Administration for UNIX, Windows and OS/2 Solution Expert.
